“Scam, don't even bother.”

Nothing, the place does not exist. It’s a scam. The phone number doesn’t work, it can’t be found on Google Maps, it’s a complete waste of time and money. I spent more than three hours looking for a place I had booked and paid for after a six‑hour drive. Please check all your vendors properly. I’ve sent emails and tried calling, so please refund me because there was never a stay here, no body in that area has ever heard of that place.

“Listing is deceiving! Not a safe area.”

I booked two nights but left within thirty minutes of arrival. The area was wildly misrepresented in the listing; we thought we were getting a cottage on a farm or something similar. Instead we ended up in an unsafe area on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg. We saw people using drugs on the side of the road just around the corner as we drove in. We could hear people yelling a few houses down. The entrance was impossible to find (no signage, the gate was behind bushes at the end of a cul‑de‑sac), and when we phoned for directions the person was quite rude. We decided to sacrifice the R2000 and drive back home rather than stay here. We did not feel safe at all during the day, and would not have felt safe staying there at night.

The owners take the tourists very seriously, ensuring the best hospitality. They dropped us to Comrades start line at 4am. Rooms are quite clean. Kitchen is well equipped. There is a caretaker available nearby. Great experience . 10/10. Nothing
