“Localização excepcional, pessoas agradáveis e altas ondas.”
The hostel is about a minute from La Isla and 5/10 minutes from the little center of Punta Hermosa. Abraham surfs at nearby peaks and also gives plenty of daily surf tips, plus he takes us to other peaks when there’s no wave at La Isla. The place has storage for boards, though it’s a bit cramped and there’s a risk of boards falling as people pass. The kitchen, rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are well‑built and spacious. The spot attracts many foreigners and Peruvians who mainly surf the region. Several surf spots are within walking distance, such as El Paso, Señoritas, Caballeros, etc. For farther spots, you can take a bus for just 1.5 soles to reach Punta Rocas, El Huayco, San Bartolo, etc. It’s pure surf vibe, and those seeking cost‑effective simplicity will be pleasantly surprised. The room outlets had poor contact and didn’t fit male plugs of phone or laptop chargers correctly. The shower was on a fine line between too hot with little flow or cooler with more flow; however, since the weather was relatively warm, I didn’t feel cold.
