The rooms were comfortable, and the location was perfect for visiting Skipton and the steam railway, with no complaints.

We paid over £300 for our room, yet had to leave after less than three hours because our son needed urgent hospital care in Bradford; we never used breakfast or any hotel facilities, so the lack of flexibility shocked me. I understand hotel policies, but I expected some compassion and at least a partial refund, credit, or goodwill gesture; the response was rigid and unsympathetic for a hotel charging that rate, and it has made me unlikely to return.

Lovely friendly staff.stunning location and beautiful old hotel. Amazing breakfast. The spa was a major disappointment having stayed here several times before. The jacuzzi has gone, the pool has little room to swim because modifications and the sauna and steam room closed due to 'maintenance issues' Reduced opening hours 10 until 4.00 ruling out evening swim after days out. Not told about this in advance of arrival. Very disappointing and much of our decision to stay there
