“Disgusting”
I have nothing positive to say. I want to formally complain about how my husband was treated on 15 September 2026. The original booking was made in my name for myself and our two children. When we got to the hotel, a female receptionist told us that my husband could not enter our room because his name was not on the reservation. We explained that he was not staying overnight or being accommodated in the room; his flight was leaving soon after. He only wanted to help us with our luggage, take a shower, and then wait in the lounge until his flight. He was ready to give his ID and comply with any registration needed. Still, the receptionist refused to let him even go upstairs to help. We were told that no one other than me and our two children could enter the room. Consequently, my husband had to pay for a separate room for about two hours just because he was not allowed to enter our room and spend time with us. The receipt confirms the payment: Port Selene Otel, Date: 15 September 2026, Receipt No.: 0007, Total amount: 2,913.48 TRY. The receipt lists accommodation charges of 2,887.23 TRY plus 26.25 TRY in tax, totaling 2,913.48 TRY. This extra room was unnecessary and not intended for an overnight stay. My husband’s flight ticket and the taxi we booked for around 23:00 show he was leaving soon after. He simply wanted to accompany his wife and our two young children, help with luggage, and spend a little time before his flight. We asked the receptionist to show us the specific legal provision that barred him from entering our room. She said it was a general Turkish law applicable throughout Turkey.
