The historic building exudes old‑world charm and character, and the breakfast was both excellent and plentiful. From the moment we were welcomed to the time we said goodbye, the chef and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering plenty of tips about the region.

The historic setting, location, garden, veranda for breakfast with a view of the village, hospitality and courtesy from the staff, the view from the window of the oldest church and the castle, and the Ferragosto barbecue organized by the hotel in the garden were all great. The rooms aren’t soundproof and every so often the church bell rings, even at night. The ancient charm is felt, but over time it can become uncomfortable (the room should be renovated). The bed and pillows are hard. Finally, the photo gallery visible based on the room booked on Booking also contains photos of common areas of the property and not just the room itself, which could be somewhat misleading for the customer.

Historic charm, a very nice large garden, central location in Sarnthein, and personal address and care by the host are unparalleled.

Very personally run, charming, attentive, courteous, everything very well maintained. The single room is quite small, though acceptable for three nights.
