A tiny luxury property perched on a Tuscan hill with breathtaking views of the rolling countryside. Designed around a sunset‑facing main view, the vistas are stunning throughout the property. I chose this place to propose, and the staff, especially Ilaria who was my main contact, were incredibly helpful in arranging everything to my specifications. The hotel has three main restaurants – we dined at two, both of which were great experiences. The food is good, not Michelin‑star level, but it was reasonably priced with generous portions. Breakfast is a highlight and one of the best we’ve had worldwide – fresh, high‑quality dishes served against beautiful morning views of the countryside. The facilities, especially the spa with its indoor‑outdoor sunset view pool, are among the nicest I’ve seen. The hotel sits on a small “town” street with a nice castle and other scenic viewpoints nearby. The property is small and was about 50‑60 % full when we were there, yet it never felt crowded and everything we needed was always available. Given the amenities and location, it’s ideal for a 2‑3 day stay; beyond that, some might run out of things to do. There’s no nickel‑and‑diming like you might find at other luxury spots – all snacks and drinks (except alcohol) in our room were included and refreshed during our stay. The main downside is that it’s definitely expensive, but the top quality justifies the cost. The estate hike we took led onto a busy main road, which was a bit annoying; perhaps the paths and signs could be cleaned up. The taxis provided by the hotel also have a strange buzzing noise coming from the back, but this is very minor.

The place and the views are fabulous. The service is excellent. The room was stocked with thoughtful details, from a small cloth to wipe glasses to leather cable ties. Breakfast was complete. The food at the restaurants is not Michelin‑level, but quite good. I liked everything.
