We had good communication before arriving by bus. The welcoming staff and family workers were friendly, the dinner was fine, and the breakfasts were decent. The hotel arranged for an employee to drive us to our hike of Chemin de Mâture. Growing up in a family‑run inn, this place reminded me of home but offered more menu choices. We left just before they closed for the ski season; otherwise we would have stayed another night.

The hotel is great, especially for a trip through the Somport tunnel. The bar closed at 7.30pm.

The rooms are spacious, and the breakfast and dinner are good. However, to fit into the shower cabin you need to be no bigger than size 38 and flexible; I’m thin and narrow and got stuck between the door and wall trying to get in and out. It’s a shame because the rest of the bathroom is fine.
