Pension Kronenburghof

“Sehr schön, würde es auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen”

The host was very nice, the flat was great, brand new, and nothing was missing; we felt completely comfortable.

First review: “The room was far too hot, and there was no way to insulate it from the outside temperatures.” Follow‑up: During my stay the room could not be adequately cooled despite a roller on the roof window and a fan. Even during a heatwave the temperature stayed uncomfortably high, making restful sleep nearly impossible – even though I followed the host’s advice to keep the roof window open all night. The host later confirmed over the phone that the poor thermal insulation was due to the building’s age; I believe a modern climate system is entirely missing. After I left a review, I was contacted immediately by phone. Instead of apologising for the inconvenience, the conversation turned confrontational; I had little chance to explain my point of view, and the way she spoke made me feel that the main goal was to convince me my review was unjustified. In short, the room cannot be cooled enough to ensure a comfortable stay during a heatwave, and the handling of critical feedback was unsympathetic, creating an unpleasant dialogue. I hope future structural improvements and a more customer‑oriented service will greatly enhance the indoor climate and communication with guests.

“Een prima uitvalsbasis om de regio Thüringen te ontdekken!”

Everything went smoothly and as planned; the apartment met our expectations, the reception was friendly, and the nearby airport caused no disturbance.
