The value for money was poor: the services, equipment, and location were far too expensive. The neighbors were extremely noisy with loud music, the bathroom lock was broken, the lounge chair was broken, the coffee machine was broken… No one was there to welcome us, and when the equipment is left abandoned it’s a shame.

The eclectic décor, quiet atmosphere, and proximity to the park were great, and the owners’ driving directions were essential. The first impression was bad because you drive up a single‑lane road past many run‑down spots and piles of junk. Once you get past that, the property and accommodations are wonderful.

Wow, what a stay! We were on a honeymoon road trip and this was the perfect spot for a relaxing evening. The hosts thought of everything—cooking supplies, food storage, and the TV had Netflix and other channels. We spent most of the night outside where everything came alive; with no light pollution the scenery was literally breathtaking. We saw deer, chipmunks, owls, and many other creatures, and even spotted a Falcon 9 rocket launch, a bucket‑list moment! The bathroom was great and just a short walk from the dome, again fully equipped. If I ever return to the King’s Canyon area, it’s a 100 % stay for us. The only downside was that we were given a Land Rover Defender as a courtesy car, but the dirt track up to the domes can be tough for some vehicles—narrow, steep, and rocky.

All the little things you might need were there. We loved the outdoor kitchen and picnic table. The views were amazing, and the place felt very comfortable and homey.
