“Хороший отель с отличным расположением, но сервис требует доработки”
The hotel is good with a great location, but the service needs improvement. I stayed at Hotel New York Tashkent twice—May and September 2026. The hotel is good, but there are points to know beforehand. Pros: 📍 Location. Convenient—near cafés, shops, pharmacies. The center is not far by taxi. 🍳 Breakfast. Hearty, tasty, with a variety of dishes—no complaints here. 🛏️ Spacious room. Plenty of space, a balcony (nice bonus), fridge, kettle. On the 2nd and 4th floors you can iron your clothes yourself in the corridor. 😐 Staff perform their duties formally. They help, but without customer orientation—just “doing their job.” Cons: 🛎️ Cleaning and water—only on request. Cleaning doesn’t happen on its own, and water isn’t put in the room. Everything must be asked for. This is unconventional and inconvenient, especially if you’re used to normal hotel service. 📶 Wi‑Fi is very weak—problematic for work and video calls. 🚿 The room disappointed. They gave me a four‑bedroom instead of a two‑bedroom—the shower leaked, there was an unpleasant smell, cleaning was mediocre, little light (the window was blocked by an air‑conditioner unit). The next day I asked to change rooms. 💧 Water is turned off at night. You have to go down to reception and ask to turn it on. The reception phone isn’t listed in the room—very inconvenient. Bottom line: The hotel is decent—location, breakfast, and spacious rooms are pleasing. But the service is still “raw”: a lot depends on the guest asking for everything. If you’re not picky about service and are ready to take initiative, it’s an option. If you expect standard hotel comfort, keep these nuances in mind.
