It was reassuring that a proper parking space was reserved for guests, and the room turned out to be surprisingly spacious and comfortable, though it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.

The area around the front desk looked nicer than when I visited before and the staff were friendly, but the toilet didn’t feel very comfortable to use.

I stayed one night; the facilities are old but the cleaning is thorough and, given the price, it feels like a great deal. The front‑desk staff member was extremely helpful, even recommending dinner spots and a local spicy noodle shop that’s popular for a night‑time snack, which was a huge help. The location is excellent, and I’d definitely book again when I return to Miyazaki. The only thing missing was a washlet.
