“It was cheap and close to univ for parents weekend”

The location and price were good, but our room had a noticeable smoke odor and the bathroom door wouldn’t close. We could only get into the room with the master key from the office, which meant we had to make five trips to fix it.

Although the stairs needed repainting and the walls were a strange violet‑olive color that made me think the renovator was a kindergarten dropout, the room itself was spotless—everything from the ventilation grille in the bathroom to the trim above the door was clean. I worried about noise from the nearby highway, yet it stayed quiet. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a coffee maker and microwave. The staff were very friendly. I recommend this budget hotel; there’s a laundry on site, but I didn’t use it. The only downside was a constantly leaking toilet cistern.

Despite the first impression (stairs needed repainting) the walls in the rooms are a violet‑olive color. The person who did the renovation probably got kicked out of kindergarten for not being able to paint within lines. It turned out the place was clean (even the ventilation grille in the bathroom and the trim above the door were clean). I was worried it would be noisy, but it was quiet despite the nearby highway. The beds were comfortable. The room had an express and a microwave. The staff were very nice. I recommend this hotel, especially in the budget category. The toilet cistern is constantly leaking water.

The staff were very nice and helpful, especially the lady Amey, but the building feels a bit old and could use an update.
