An absolutely delightful bed and breakfast in Waynesville, NC. Run by the owners, everything about the Andon‑Reid Inn is quaint and comfortable, set in beautiful grounds with spectacular mountain views. Breakfast is freshly made, innovative, and delicious. Easy access to the town and major sights, plenty of parking, and a friendly cat! I wish we’d had more time in Waynesville and at the Andon‑Reid Inn Bed & Breakfast.

The owners and staff were all fantastic, greeting me by name every morning at breakfast. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing and the views gorgeous. Each day came with new table settings and a dining set, not just a simple “I’m eating breakfast.” The game room in the main house was really neat, nostalgic, and you could feel the history. I stayed in the carriage house, and the bed was SO very comfortable, the jacuzzi tub was big, there was heated flooring in the bathroom area, and rocking chairs in the room. I ordered the add‑on local snack basket, and it was fantastic and worth the cost. Rosie, the estate kitty, let me pet her and even hopped onto my lap, which made me happy because they say she almost never does that. I took a walk through the neighborhood area and it was beautiful and peaceful. The entire time was just a grand and wonderful stay, and I’d definitely stay again. The only thing I could never figure out in the cottage was how to get the fireplace to come on. The remote would light up but never beep, and I never could get it to turn on. I love looking at a fireplace (even if I only used the light and no heat function), but one of the nights was a bit rainy and slightly cooler, so it might have been nice to have a touch of added heat from a flickering fireplace. (But on behalf of the owners, I forgot to ask them about it, so it may have just been me. I tried following the guide on the back of the remote, but just never got it figured out.)
