The location is very good. The staff were friendly and efficient and fixed a room issue quickly. The room 3, however, was very small, interior, without wardrobes, and had a few ants—definitely not comfortable. Booking doesn’t show any photos so you can’t get a sense of what that room looks like.

Air conditioning in the room, comfortable mattress, central location in Funchal. The window blinds didn’t work, a bright lamp was right in front of the window, getting into the upper bed was tricky, the staff were unfriendly, and the outdoor area smelled strongly of cigarettes.

Super comfy! I spent two nights in a single room (lovely!) and later a night in the dorm. Everything worked out great. The kitchen was easy to use, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast in the beautiful garden was delicious! When I chose to stay one night at the other Jaca hostel instead of in Funchal, the staff arranged it for me at no extra cost. Great location! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Parking was confusing at first, but the staff guided me to a nearby lot.

The spot is super handy, no key needed for the room, and the bed and pillows were spot‑on. My room came with a small terrace, and the shower and toilet were fine, though the water pressure was a touch weaker than I’d prefer. I enjoyed the stay overall, especially the free luggage storage that mattered a lot to me. The bus stop to the airport was just a 10‑minute walk away. On the downside, there were plenty of bees around, which could be a problem for anyone allergic. Two of them even slipped into my room and stung me, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive.

The place is well‑located, the kitchen, balcony, interior, cleanliness, and the hostel’s communication were all good. The room was cramped and I hit my head on the partition, but it was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
