The staff were friendly and the location was convenient. There’s a place to rest and unwind. Self‑laundry costs 7 CNY, which is pretty fair. The dorm inside the gym feels a bit odd, and the smell after someone trained there isn’t great.

The spot’s spotty, but the place is clean enough and the staff are helpful. The mattress feels a bit stiff, and I’d rather have separate washrooms for men and women, but the bathroom was still tidy enough to be fine.

I booked a private room with a private bath at a great price and it was very comfortable. It sits right across from the ancient town, and catching a bus into the city is a breeze. The girl who works there speaks English and is very nice and helpful. The hostel is tucked away from the main road, so it’s quiet. They even let you borrow umbrellas, which was handy when it rained. I appreciated the electric blanket and the small reading light by the bed. That was excellent. I wish there had been a refrigerator and microwave for guests to use.
