The spot is solid and very well located for walking around Eger. The room was spacious and clean, though the interior décor wasn’t from the latest catalogues, it was simply pleasant. Air‑conditioning was available and kept us cool in the heat. The room was quiet even though the windows faced the street. The shared kitchen was well equipped, although the fridge had no freezer. A billiard table and a large courtyard with a gazebo and grilling area were nice extras. Communication with the hosts was quick and effective, though only Peter spoke English. The private parking in the closed courtyard deserves praise. The parking, however, requires a lot of nerves and skill because the entrance is very narrow; the hosts’ help proved invaluable. The air‑conditioning could be a bit more efficient, the fridge lacked a freezer, and the interior décor will need a refresh soon.
The location was very nice and quiet, close to the city centre, and the garden was lovely—great for outdoor dining and the kids could run around a bit. The only downside was that the beds were a bit hard.
