The shuttle between Jinjoo Station and the hotel was convenient, and the back hill with the pure‑sheep ranch made for a nice walk – it was cool even in midsummer. However, the interior of the hotel itself wasn’t particularly comfortable.
“여름휴가를 평창에서”
Being a bit removed from downtown Pyeongchang let us enjoy fresh air and scenic mountain views, which was wonderful. The fitness centre was free and the sauna could be used at member rates, helping us stay fit and unwind during the trip. The hotel was also close to local attractions and the East Sea coast at Gangneung, making travel easy. The breakfast buffet was pricier than nearby restaurants, so we tended to eat elsewhere; a bigger discount on the buffet would be nice. There were also few family‑friendly entertainment options – adding indoor pool tables or ping‑pong tables would improve things.
The first‑floor café closed early, and the basement restaurant was not operating at all.
“As a foreigner, I would not recommend going to this hotel. Please train the staff to know bus/train schedules going”
The nearby sheep farm was convenient. The free bus shuttle to the train station. The room was spacious and layout was nice. Price was reasonable. More research could have been done on our end, but the location made site seeing a little challenging. Online information stated that a car could be rented and brought to the hotel, but this wasn’t available and we were generally confined to the hotel area. There was an enormous language barrier with hotel staff. They were unhelpful and rude. This made it very awkward to ask for help. They were unfamiliar with the local bus and train services, and provided some inaccurate information. The pool was not included with fees, which isn’t a thing in Canada. The breakfast was a little expensive considering that the food is cheap and leaves a lot to be desired. The curtains had darks brown stains which appears to be a common complaint in the hotel’s review comments. The floor is outdated with ugly brown carpet, also stained. There was dust in the room and gave the impression that it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time
There were plenty of facilities to enjoy and a variety of restaurants on site, so we never needed to leave the property. Unfortunately, the room had a faint odor, probably coming from the carpet.
