The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were new and clean, though simple, we managed a breakfast at 5:30 am to be at 6 am for the opening of the Temple of Love Simbel, but it was quite noisy and the window above the doors let in corridor light, and it was a bit far from everything.

The description was wrong, the place wasn’t clean, there was no private bathroom and it was in terrible condition. There was no air‑conditioning and it was very noisy.

The guesthouse sits just a 15‑minute walk from Abu Simbel Temple, and Wael was friendly, welcoming and always ready to help; he even offered a boat ride around the temple, though the weather stopped it. The meals were tasty and plentiful, and Wael made sure we had everything we needed. The rooftop patio is still under construction but offers a good view of the sunset and the birds. There isn’t much else to do nearby besides the temple, and staying overnight to see the Light and Sound show is a lovely, welcoming option.
