“The park and the bungalows look nice, but avoid the tents.”

The bungalow park itself looks great and is well‑situated, just a 10‑minute walk to the beach or a minute or two by car. However, the tent I stayed in had no AC, only a fan. Even though the bungalows are spread out, the tents sit right next to each other just outside the park, closest to the road, so there’s a lot of traffic noise and even more from the neighboring tents that are only 1 meter away. A bright light hangs over all the tents and can’t be turned off, so the tent stays very well lit all night. The reception area is basically empty all the time; when I checked out I didn’t see anyone, so I just left the tent empty and went. For check‑in I eventually found someone who pointed me to a tent but gave no info about bathroom or shower facilities.

The walls, headboard, and mattress were covered in mold, and there was a strong smell of dampness and mildew. There were no curtains. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. The price was far too high for the condition. The only thing that seemed positive, if you look closely, was the owners and the tuk‑tuk drivers who worked with them.

“Étape tranquille a koh rong”

It’s nicely located on Koh Rong, close to beautiful beaches accessible by scooter. The green space is lovely and very tranquil. The welcome was very warm and attentive, a great address on the island.
