“I stayed at this hotel for 16 days and was well-looked after, during this time.”

The hotel boasts a large, tastefully decorated café that works well for catching up with friends, working, or snapping Instagram photos. You can also enjoy garden courtyards on both the ground and upper floors. Five well-groomed cats lounged around during my stay, and they’re considered part of the hotel staff! Everything else was fine.

“This is the best hotel to stay in if you're after the local neigbourhood vibe and if you like cats!”

The hotel offers multiple outdoor courtyards both downstairs and upstairs, giving plenty of space to meditate or just relax. I spotted three cats with distinct personalities. It’s set in a local neighborhood rather than a tourist or commercial zone, so you can truly experience the authentic Beijing vibe at a leisurely pace. Occasionally, cigarette smoke drifted in through the doors at odd hours—many people still smoke, so there’s not much you can do about it. I was puzzled when the internet stopped working, but then I realized it was due to the strict Chinese firewall; switching to the local 'Little Red Book' app let me stream live feeds without lag, and I could also use e‑SIM access at 4G speed when I needed to go outside the network restrictions.

I arrived and was told there were no rooms available; they didn’t help me cancel the reservation I’d made through the app, and the app wouldn’t let me cancel without incurring a fee. I wasn’t accommodated because there were no rooms, yet I was still charged.

“Mini vacaciones en Pekin”

The kittens at reception are beautiful and very affectionate. There was a bit of noise in the early morning when new guests arrived.
