The place is great for its beauty and closeness to Bevagna, full of historic sites and eateries, and a short drive to other towns. It’s a working winery, so the terrace near the cellar door gets noisy when the weather’s nice and people stay out late; inside the noise is minimal, but privacy outside is almost nonexistent.

The overall vibe at the property was very pleasant, with a stunning view of the vines. Over the weekend there was lunch and wine tasting, creating a lively atmosphere on the grounds. We enjoyed lunch with the accompanying wines and music—delicious! The family was very friendly. The house was cool, had air conditioning (also for heating, though we didn’t need it), and the décor was homely. The location was quiet, and in the mornings a tractor passed by the vineyards. It’s just a half‑hour walk to Bevagna’s center, where we found charming terraces, shops, and churches. The mattress is a matter of personal taste; the first night was a bit of an adjustment. The wooden garden furniture could use an upgrade—the bench was no longer sturdy.

When we arrived, the family who runs the La Fonte winery gave us a very warm welcome, and our little house overlooking Montefalco was surrounded by vineyards and tastefully decorated; the kitchen came stocked with everything we could need, and the special coffee machine brewed excellent coffee using the unique capsules sold by the hosts. They greeted us with a bottle of mineral water, a rosé from the estate, and eggs from their own chickens, and they also offered their own olive oil and saffron. After six days they refreshed our bed linens, bath towels and hand towels, and the thick, warm duvets were perfect for the still‑cool April nights. After a day of sightseeing it was incredibly cozy to watch the sunset from the house, sipping one or more glasses of their superb house wine while looking over the vines. The only thing that bothered us was the harsh white glare of the bulbs in the living‑dining room, which clashed with the otherwise snug atmosphere.

A charming spot to unwind, enjoy nature, and especially the wine cellar at the agriturismo Le Case.
