The place was clean, yet the experience was very disappointing. We paid $300 a night and ended up in a noisy motel with a parking lot view, no breakfast, and no pool access. The advertised pool photos were misleading, as the pool required advance reservation, an extra fee, and was only for guests 18 and over—unacceptable for a family stay. The supposed “lake view” from the ground floor turned out to be a parking lot. Soundproofing was awful; TV noise at night could be heard throughout the room. The bathroom layout was ridiculous, with a bathtub next to the bed separated only by a curtain, making privacy impossible. Lighting in the kitchen and living area was harsh and uncozy. The room had towels for only two people, despite a four‑person reservation. Overall, it’s an average motel charging hotel prices and presenting itself as something better; it’s not worth $300 a night.

“They didn’t tell us the spa was closed early until it was too late to cancel, bummer.”

The lake view was nice, but the property failed to tell us that the spa would close early that day—5 pm—until we called to reserve access, at which point we had already booked a non‑refundable stay. They need to be clearer about early spa closures.

The reception was friendly, the rooms and common areas spotless, the location perfect, and the facilities—spa, dining, and golf—were excellent. Nothing to complain about.

Everyone on the staff was kind, whether at the front desk, in the restaurant, or at the spa, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.
