They should remove this hostel from the platform; the owner has no commitment to guests. I booked the hostel, arrived, and spent an hour outside calling with no answer, so I had to rent another hostel. Everything was terrible.

I would have liked to be welcomed at the early hour I booked a month in advance, or at least receive an apology for not answering the phone and leaving me on the street. I booked my stay a month ahead, it was confirmed via booking, but the owner didn’t bother to check the reservation during that period, which is his job as the manager who lists the place for rent. I mentioned that my bus would arrive between 11 am and midnight, kept him updated, yet he left me on the street past 1 am. The area is dangerous; arriving at night isn’t worth it. He never took responsibility, only said he doesn’t receive guests at night. He could have simply used the earlier part of the reservation to refuse, and I would have found another place. At the last minute I found a 24‑hour hotel nearby, which was disappointing. He also didn’t answer the phone or apologize for the inconvenience caused by his inefficiency.

I loved everything, and everyone treated me well. I liked everything.

Convenient market and restaurant close by. The coffee shop in the morning and the shower were cold, with no options for heating.

The front desk run by Adriana and Marcelão was fantastic – I’ll definitely be back. The little shop downstairs stocked a ton of tasty snacks, and Ane at the register was super friendly. I also want to shout‑out the guy they call “the noble Indian,” who lives in a rented room at the hostel; he’s always sharing tips and making friends. Paulo kept everything spotless, which made the place feel really welcoming. The only thing that bugs me is that I left too soon – wish I could have stayed longer.
