We were taken to a completely different guesthouse. We had messaged the owner before arrival and he replied, so we thought everything was fine. When we got there, it seemed nobody knew we had a booking and they then sent us to another guesthouse that clearly had no idea we were coming. That guest house was lovely, but the room was not what we booked, the fan was broken and the room was stifling hot.

Very clean place and a peaceful spot near the city; comfortable rooms and the owner is very good and very friendly.

The hosts were kind, the room was brand‑new and spotless, and the breakfast could be arranged. The price‑to‑quality ratio was excellent. The only drawback was that the window let in light but offered no view; it didn’t bother me because I arrived late and left early.

The room was lovely and everything worked smoothly, even the warm shower! From the balcony you could see a stunning view of the rice fields. Lakmal was eager to help everywhere and to brainstorm your plans. The breakfast was delightful, changing daily, which let me taste different Sri Lankan dishes—really fun. The dinner was also great! I enjoyed cycling around and walking to the Pidurangala rock. Everything was relatively close together in Sigiriya.
