Royal Caribbean Resort, on a private San Pedro beach, features an outdoor pool, extensive garden, and free Wi-Fi. Tropical-style cottages have air conditioning, TV, kitchenette, and private bathroom. On-site Toast bar and restaurant serves meals and drinks. The resort offers a tour desk, free parking, and is close to San Pedro town centre, airstrip, ferry docks, and San Marcos Archaeological Site.

The pool is large, beautiful, and offers an excellent sea view, but the restaurant has few food options.

The hotel looks cute, the cabins reminded me of 90s Barbie décor and have the essentials; in their heyday it must have been gorgeous. The staff were always very kind. It is neglected: there are broken hammocks and chairs, broken swings, the pool is poorly maintained, and many things need fixing. Unfortunately we stayed during a sargasso event and couldn’t swim at the beach because there are about two meters of sargasso starting from the shore to the back, and the entire beach edge is the same. They have a pier you can walk on but it’s also broken. We found a cockroach in the room and they moved us to another room.

The room was clean and comfortable; it could use an extra cabinet or a place to set things. The TV and cable worked great. The grounds need attention, the pool needs a serious clean – there’s mustard algae and palm branches at the bottom. No umbrellas around the pool and very few lounge chairs.
