The hotel was tucked off the main road in a bushy area. The pool was lovely, and watching wildlife added to the experience. Breakfast was nice, and I appreciated the authentic, varied vegetarian curry. The staff were always friendly. The only downside was that the hotel restaurant’s prices were in USD instead of rupees.

Seeing wild elephants made me feel disconnected from the world, which was awesome. The pool and facilities were great, and the staff helped organize a couple of adventures. No negatives.

The rooms were spacious, the location peaceful, and the pool area very nice, with some covered sunbeds for shade. There was a pleasant terrace space by the rooms, an in‑house laundry service, and helpful staff. If you’re worried about dogs, don’t be—despite other reviews, the big pet dogs are very calm and never approached us. The place could use a bit of maintenance: there was a gap at the bottom of the bedroom door (no insects got in), the restaurant ceiling paint needs a fresh coat, and I tore a hole in my pants on a nail sticking out from one of the restaurant chairs. The big white rooms felt a bit “cold.” Breakfast was good but became repetitive after a few nights.

The room was spacious, spotless, and truly impressive. The on‑site restaurant served delicious local dishes at fair prices, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A small‑fee laundry facility was also available, which was a nice touch. The gardens were charming, filled with birds and occasional monkeys. It is a bit out of town, but that quietness made it a great base for exploring Sigiriya Rock and elephant safaris.
