I stayed at a tidy family hotel that offered a convenient indoor parking spot for my motorbike, and the owner kindly escorted me to a nearby local restaurant run by residents for dinner—excellent. The mattress, however, felt like concrete.

We were the first guests at this newly opened hotel in Vinh, and we couldn't even leave a review before the next visitors did. It turned out to be the best choice in the city. We compared all options in the area, and even though there were no reviews yet, we chose this one. The manager was a fantastic uncle‑type figure, and the entire staff was exceptionally hospitable, attentive, and caring, making us feel no regret about our decision. We requested a room on the second floor, asked about hot water, and asked for a second blanket because the north of Vietnam is cooler than the south. They showed us everything, explained, and provided a warm plush blanket. The room included disposable toothbrush sets, shower gel, shampoo, and toilet paper. Most importantly, the hot water was great, and there was complimentary bottled water. There was a covered secure parking lot where they helped us park. The door lock was a modern idea that welcomed guests; as soon as we passed the sensor, the manager greeted us, gave us the Wi‑Fi password, and asked if we wanted to eat. He kindly recommended a family‑run café nearby and even escorted us. We were thrilled with the recommendation because it was right next to the hotel, and the family cooked for themselves and their guests. They served huge portions of rice with juicy pork, braised cabbage, omelette with greens, a tasty soup, and brought green tea—all for a very small price. We barely finished. We were very grateful to the manager for his care and recommendation, and also to the family who cooked delicious, hearty meals at the café. The mattress was a bit stiff, but for Vietnam that’s normal, so you can ask for extra blankets. All our requests and questions were answered. We communicated via Google Translate. The main thing is to want to be understood. We treated them with all our heart, and they were very caring. We will definitely return when we’re in the area.

Be careful when booking. I booked a room for four adults on the site at 300,000 VND. I think there aren’t that many in the hotel, so they gave us two double rooms. The owners charged us double (600,000 VND) when we paid. I couldn’t make them understand that the booking price was for four adults, not two. No gesture, we had to pay the full amount. Additionally, the mattress was very hard, the blanket very thin, so we got cold. There were bell‑ringer noises all night and work started in the morning.
