The place is amazing, a beautiful house and excellent service, very attentive and friendly. The only downside is that the tableware and glasses could be better, but it’s a minor issue; everything else is great.
“Ecolodge in the rainforest”
We were greeted by spider monkeys and birds, and the staff—especially Masai—were friendly and helpful, guiding us when roads back to San José were closed by landslides. The trail to the beach was pleasant, and we spent most of our time in the main bedroom and kitchen, which were surprisingly insect‑free. The lodge is mostly outdoors, so indoor seating is limited, and only the main bedroom has air conditioning—though it works well.
“Sehr schöne Lage, super Ausstattung, aber verbesserungsfähige Zahlungsmodalitäten”
The lodge sits a ten‑minute walk from a gorgeous private beach, and the forest path is full of howler monkeys, sloths, and green macaws. The rooms are spacious, with comfy beds and a rainforest vibe, and the staff are helpful. The only downside was the clunky booking and payment process, plus a broken hammock that left one of our kids with a possible broken arm and a hefty clinic bill.
The private area and open living room felt like a jungle lounge, and the kitchen was fully stocked. We kept spotting hummingbirds, howler monkeys, raccoons, green macaws, aguti, and even a poison‑dart frog. The free daily laundry was a nice touch, and the beach with a shipwreck was just a short walk from Manzanillo.
This unique spot feels like a natural hideaway right next to the beach. The staff were very friendly, and they even included laundry service.
