The booking was handled very kindly, flexible and hassle‑free. The room was simple but more than enough. Both the room and the bathroom were clean. The transport links were good, and the price‑performance ratio was spot‑on.

The location was good, parking was free on the street, and check‑in was easy; in room 2 one of the mattresses had a broken spring and sagged, while in room 7 the mattress made a squeaky noise that couldn’t be endured and the mattress padding was incredibly thin, so we had to return to room 2 with no other solution offered; the bathroom fan wasn’t working and was dusty; the windows had very poor sound insulation.

It’s within walking distance to the city and very cheap, but it’s somewhat noisy and the street is very busy.

The location was good and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well; however, there was misinformation about breakfast—after the cancellation deadline had passed we were only told that breakfast was not offered at that time and only after we asked; if I had known earlier or it had been stated in the description, I wouldn’t have booked. An alternative would have been at least a hot water dispenser and instant coffee. The bathroom was a real disaster: the sink was only 20 cm wide, the shower had a yellowed curtain, mold in the corners, shower residue or something on the wall, and the ventilation didn’t work.

I spent 9 nights here and felt the price matched the value; it matched the cheapest Airbnb rates, yet I had a private bathroom, which was a big plus. I booked a single but received a roomy double instead. A nearby bus stop with direct city center routes made travel very easy. I came for a summer school in Saarbrücken and have no regrets; I’d recommend it. On the downside, there’s no AC and one duvet had a slightly off smell; it would help if duvets and pillows were washed with the sheets, especially since they’re machine‑washable. Another small problem was the lack of night staff; if you’re out during normal hours it can be hard to get assistance.
