“Good location for touristing”
The place is large and in a good tourist spot, but the hot pools feel a bit dated and we couldn't book a spa treatment, so we had to go elsewhere for that.

The place is right where you want to be and the on‑site hot‑spring pools work fine, even if they look a bit dated. Unfortunately the whole building reeks of cigarette smoke – it clung to the carpet, the curtains and even the lift, and the staff could only offer us a room swap that was still smoky unless we splurged on the pricey suite. To make matters worse the bed felt like a slab of cardboard and the décor was stuck in the past, which together made the stay feel pretty grim.

Being just a short walk from Baoguo Temple made it easy to catch a bus up Mount Emei, and the staff even held onto my luggage for a couple of nights while I was hiking. Breakfast was a decent buffet and the employees were generally helpful. The only real let‑down was that the hot‑spring facilities were out of order during my stay.

The room was surprisingly spacious and quiet, and the view from the window was fantastic. On the downside, the hotel’s dining options were pretty limited and the restaurant closed far too early for my liking.

The hotel sits in a great spot, just a stone’s throw from the mountain‑tourist shuttle and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. However, the service left a lot to be desired – most staff were unfriendly, and even borrowing an umbrella required a deposit unless you were a manager. The facilities also felt worn out and outdated.
