“Buen hotel, pero algo elevado de precio”
The location is perfect, right in the center of Marbella’s historic old town. Just stepping out of the hotel you’re already in the center, with everything close by, which is very convenient for exploring the city. We really enjoyed the breakfast; it wasn’t overly extensive, but everything was exquisite and the dining area was very pleasant. The front desk staff were attentive and friendly throughout. The room was very clean, the mattress very comfortable, and the TV large. Overall, a very pleasant stay with many positive aspects. The only improvements I would suggest are three main points. First, the presentation and pricing of the items left on the desk in the room. When we arrived we found several chocolate bars, cookies, and two bottles of water placed directly on the table, on a tray but without a clear indication that they were paid items. At first glance it seemed like a welcome gift from the hotel. We opened one of the water bottles and only then saw a small sign with the prices. It should be much clearer from the start, for example by putting these items in the minibar along with a visible price list. Also, charging €4 for a small bottle of mineral water seemed frankly excessive. Second, the coffee at breakfast. Although they have a machine that apparently works well, the coffee tasted very weak and almost tasteless. It’s a pity because the rest of the breakfast we liked a lot. Finally, parking access is somewhat complicated. The hotel has reserved spots within a parking lot managed by another company, and you have to cross two barriers and follow specific instructions to reach the correct area. The hotel provides a map, which helps, but the first time it is a bit confusing. Additionally, the €20 daily fee seemed a bit high.
