The breakfast was very tasty, but the doors weren't secure enough and the place needs a lot of upkeep.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with period furniture, a bed, a dresser, a wardrobe, and a minibar, all large and roomy. The balcony was accessed through a huge double‑leaf door, offering city views with a table and chairs. The bathroom was also large, clean, and had a shower with great water pressure. For breakfast you could choose between a continental or the traditional Egyptian option; I picked the latter and it was tasty, abundant, and varied. The hotel sits in a central area of old French‑style buildings, 6 or 7 stories high, near the old Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square, with many shops and lively streets at night. There are few restaurants, but Egyptians usually eat on the go or at home. The staff were the best part of the hotel: Roqaia and Mahmoud were always friendly and attentive, helping, advising, and solving any issue. Thank you, guys! On the downside, the facilities and cleanliness could use some improvement. A few things didn’t satisfy me; perhaps they should modernize the facilities, lighting, and deepen the cleaning of the rooms, especially the floors. The bathroom and bedding were spotless, and fixing a broken liquid soap dispenser in the bathroom would be good. That’s all.
