The hotel's location was perfect, right in the heart of the city.
The staff were lovely and really made an effort to make us feel welcome.
Breakfast was also top-notch.

“Mould and damp everywhere - AVOID!”
The front desk team were friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast was decent, but I felt compelled to write about the severe mould issue that made my stay unbearable. After spending an hour in the room, my asthma flared up so badly that I asked to switch rooms, only to find the new room only marginally better. Black mould was everywhere: the bath was not wall‑mounted, so mould must be inside the wall; mould dripped down the bathroom door and hadn’t been cleaned in months; the bedroom walls were covered in black mould and the bedding felt damp. The problem wasn’t isolated to my room—most of our tour group experienced the same, and two guests even paid extra to move to a different hotel because of how bad it was. Avoid this place.

Breakfast arrived at good hours and was tasty, and we stayed in a balcony room which was a real perk. The staff were excellent and very helpful, and it was nice that drinking water was always available. Some other guests were noisy at night, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. The location had positives like easy access to the lakes near West Lake and close to massage and pedicure spots, but walking to many city attractions was a long, hot trek. The advertised Massage Spa turned out to be a taxi ride away, which wasn’t ideal.
