The owner was incredibly friendly and always on hand to help, and the breakfast they served was truly tasty. The rooms felt comfortable and well‑kept, which made the stay pleasant. The only thing that bothered me was that there was a TV in the room – I’d have preferred it without.

Staying here was a real treat – Doña Cora welcomed us with so much warmth and even shared fruit from her garden while we ate a delicious breakfast together. The vibe in Carmona felt genuinely local, and we ended up dining with only residents around us. It’s an unforgettable experience we’d jump at the chance to repeat if we ever head back to Costa Rica.

The lady of the house and her daughter were genuinely kind, and it was nice to mingle with locals while enjoying a superb Costa Rican breakfast. Restaurants nearby made meals easy, and the air‑conditioning kept the room cool. On the downside, the bed felt a bit cramped for two adults and the shower was cold – typical of an old‑style building.

The property is a pleasant rural spot with lovely plantings that make it feel very inviting. The only drawback is that it’s hard to find – you really need good directions or a GPS. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to unwind.
