“Ideal for over night stop”

We stayed here 10 years ago and it hasn't changed much; the lovely manager Danny brought out a tray of goodies just like he did years ago and even gave my wife and my son's girlfriend bottles of scent. It’s a bit antiquated now, but the rooms were clean, comfortable, and an ideal place to stay for Big Bend Park.

“Not a 5 star stay but beats sleeping in your car.”

We just needed a place to stay before heading on with our travels. Nothing spectacular but it was a place to lay your head. The gentleman was very personable. The air conditioner was a bit noisy and my water in the shower never got really hot. The place was old and had a musty smell, but you get what you pay for.

I’m so glad I stayed here. Instead of the desert air, I went for this choice because it was the cheaper option, but it turns out to be a real good value. It’s an old hotel, has a lot of charm, and a lot of that charm comes from Danny, who is one of the best hoteliers I’ve experienced. He was very communicative from the very beginning, warned me that the restaurants close early as I was arriving, so I’m glad I knew that because I just barely got something to eat at the only restaurant that was still open before it started to close. He was great at setting me up and providing me snacks and information about the area. I recommend this place highly. The only complaint I have about the room is the lighting; the side tables needed reading lamps.
