The view from the glamping and pool was gorgeous, and the shuttle to the city was handy given the high, remote location. The happy hour with a beautiful sunset was nice, and communication via WhatsApp worked well. Breakfast was okay and the bed was good. The glamping tent was beautiful but very warm; the AC didn’t work when the sun was out, and there was a lot of scooter and city noise, so I didn’t sleep well. The bathroom was very small. There were many stairs to the pool, restaurant, and reception, so it’s not suitable for people with limited mobility. The terrace chairs were uncomfortable. Service was poor: you had to ask for everything, and they didn’t notice things like refilling coffee or the minibar on their own. When it did happen, it was fine, but many items were charged—like ice cubes—which should have been included at this price. Also, when we asked for a slice of ham at breakfast, we were charged 100 pesos even though we only took half of the breakfast and there were ham dishes served! Finally, double‑charge for airport transfer and the price was not as agreed—check the final bill carefully.
“A luxurious, relaxing stay. I am so keen to return.”
The view was sensational and the room was excellent—very comfortable and private. The staff at the restaurant went above and beyond to please, especially Geo and RV. Nothing negative; it was fabulous, and I wish we could have stayed longer.
“Unser Highlight!!”
A great experience with a dreamlike view and location, but it was quite expensive.
“Cadre paradisiaque et personnel au top malgré service client très moyen.”
We loved the exceptional view from the dome, the stunning sunset, and the view from the pool. The dome was a unique experience. The staff were adorable, smiling, and available, with special thanks to Geo and Jane for their great advice. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, and communication via WhatsApp was very good for any questions. The customer service fell short for a place of this scale; for example, the airport shuttle was paid because we arrived too early for free service (midday for a check‑in after 15:00), a situation I’d never seen in any other hotel. The shuttle price listed on the restaurant table was double, and the front desk explained it by saying “Karuna is different from glamping even though the restaurant is shared between the two hotel brands.” They should be consistent; I don’t understand why a glamping guest must pay double compared to a Karuna guest—absolutely not fair. The restaurant was closed on the day of arrival around 13:00 due to “training,” which was surprising, especially during the day. Why not schedule training in the early morning or late evening to avoid having guests go downtown for lunch after a long journey? At checkout, we discovered that the massage was more expensive at glamping than at Karuna. I was told it’s a different company, yet my invoices were under the Karuna header—no logic, and we felt really confused. The dome’s windows needed more regular cleaning; they were quite dirty. The bathroom was a bit small for two people given the dome’s size; it could use an expansion. These issues marred the overall experience.
“Extraordinaire.”
Everything—the view, the restaurant, the massages, the staff—was extraordinary; nothing to say.
