“Would stay again”
Lovely setting. Everything was great
“A friendly, homely, budget hotel, very good value for money.”
This budget hotel is part of a larger farm shop and rural shopping complex, so it shouldn't be judged as a conventional hotel. The room was dated and could use a refresh, but it was large, had its own en‑suite, and offered tea and coffee making facilities, free TV and WiFi, and was very clean. The staff were friendly, and my full English breakfast was freshly cooked and wholesome, though it was a paid extra not included in the room price. Parking on site is ample and free. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, feels homely and friendly, but if you’re after a luxury stay, this isn’t the place.
I booked a 'Family' room even though I was alone, and the extra space made the bed feel roomy and easy to adapt to the setup; the on‑site café was a hit and the prices were fair. The only downside was that the large curtained window lacked a pelmet, so both natural and electric light seeped in, and I didn’t see many pelmets elsewhere in the building.
“A safe, pleasant stay.”
The staff were very pleasant as usual, always making me feel welcome. I was disappointed that I missed the poached eggs by 20 minutes after traveling from Lancashire, but I look forward to trying them again.
“Good for the price”
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had booked a room with a private bathroom, not realizing it was not ensuite, and the bedroom was very small.
