The Blue Gum tree cottage sits in a quiet wooded spot and is the ideal base for exploring both the East and West coasts of the Cape in South Africa; the interior facilities are top‑class, and honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like.

The place was very clean, spacious, and presented beautifully, but I did wish there were an extra saucepan and a colander available.

The cottage is lovely and fully equipped, with a nice terrace for morning coffee, strong internet, a comfy bed, and a roomy modern bathroom; the neighborhood is safe and close to Nordhoek beach, the farm village with great restaurants, Kommetjie, Simon's Town, Boulder Beach for penguins, Kalk Bay, and Cape Town. Jason is the nicest host, always helpful and quick to respond, so I highly recommend it!
