It’s close to the station and offers some peace and quiet away from Osaka’s bustle, yet still within easy train distance. The village is cute and gives a nice way to see how the town and houses are.

There were no parking spaces, so I had to look for one outside.

I stayed at a house‑style accommodation where each room combined a kitchen and bedroom, and the second floor had two bedrooms; the beds were double and there were futons for up to six people, so it worked great for a large group. If you’re okay with rough sleeping, the space could hold about ten people. Wi‑Fi, toothbrushes, towels, shampoo, a dryer and a fridge were all available, clean, and the house‑like setting made it easy to have a good time with friends—far better than a cheap hotel. The location was about a 10‑minute walk from Tengucha Station and roughly 30 minutes to USJ, with plenty of shops around the station, making the trip very enjoyable. The bar “Musashi” in front of the station was cheap, tasty, and had solid drinks, a real recommendation. A 24‑hour, 1,000‑yen parking spot was nearby, so driving was safe. The manager was very friendly and hospitable, making me want to come back. I got the impression that once people know about it, it would become wildly popular. However, the TV wouldn’t turn on. The toilet is only on the first floor and there’s no washlet, so that’s a concern. The stairs to the second floor are steep, so be careful when going down at night for the toilet. The house is behind a back alley, so you might have trouble finding it at first. The nearby parking charges 1,000 yen for the first 24 hours only, so if you stay more than two nights you’ll need to exit and re‑enter, which is inconvenient.

The owner was super responsive whenever we needed something. The place was in a decent spot for the areas we wanted to visit, and there were quite a few food spots nearby. The downside was that the location is on very small roads that become bicycle‑only or pedestrian‑only at different times of day.
