The room was clean and had a nice balcony, and being close to downtown was a big plus. The coffee maker was empty, but the guy in the office was friendly enough to give me cash to grab a cup elsewhere. I did notice a few homeless people staying in the hotel, which was a bit off-putting.

The place had a strong cigarette smell, and flies were everywhere—right up in the ceiling and on the balcony door. The bed frame was dusty all over the edges and top. The microwave was in a spot that made it hard to plug in, and the shower controls were so tight you could barely turn them on or off.

I was glad my van stayed safe and that the crackhead stopped using the stairwell after we left our room. But this was the first motel I stayed at that didn’t provide any soap for the bathroom or shower, and there was no coffee in the room either. My wife had to buy toilet paper, soap, and coffee for us.

The location was spot on, right in the middle of everything. The only downside was finding cigarette burns on one of the bed covers, which was a bit disappointing.

The room smelled like cigarettes and the toilet and bath were so old you needed a towel to turn the shower knob—your hands would hurt. At $125 it felt overpriced for an old room that can’t even open the balcony sliding door. There were no outlets near the side table to charge phones, and the microwave had no nearby plug either. Most of the wall plugs, especially near the toilet, were broken.
