“Lugar lindo para visitar, mas dispensaria a experiência de hospedagem, pois é decepcionante.”
The venue is beautiful and the service is very friendly when someone is available. The restaurant’s food is good, clearly focused on gastronomic tourism rather than hotel lodging. The warehouse offers great sweets, and the fireplace room is open to guests during the day, which was nice because it was cold. The lodging side of the lodge needs more attention, and in my experience it doesn’t justify the five stars or the promise of an exclusive stay. We were on our honeymoon and expected a special experience. When we mentioned we were coming from Carmelo Resort, also part of the Narbona group, we were told it was “a smaller hotel,” almost as if to lower our expectations upon arrival, which made sense later. The room fell short: the shower had extreme temperature swings and flooded the bathroom, the tub was old, there were no amenities, the mattress was mediocre, Wi‑Fi was weak, there were few sheets for the cold, and the heating was unstable. Breakfast had few options; the croissant was raw and the cold cuts were okay (even though the place produces milk, the cheese was supermarket and we only got dulce de leche because we asked). The staff are very kind, but the reception was a problem. At check‑in they said the hours were 8 am to 10 pm, but on both nights there was no one after 6 pm. On the first night they only answered a question about heating the next day. On the second, we were told at 18:01 that someone would be there at 9:30 for check‑out. Because we needed to leave early, we had to get help at the restaurant and resolve everything remotely via WhatsApp. They also said they would leave breakfast in the room for the early departure, but that never happened and we were only told to leave the key in the room. The place has charm and the Narbona brand is strong in Carmelo, but we didn’t feel luxury, exclusivity, or special care, especially considering we were on our honeymoon and the category and price of the stay.
