“Geweldig verblijf. Place to be!”
Great stay! We stayed for 9 nights and it was everything we wanted. The apartment was clean, fully equipped with everything you need, the beds were top quality, the air‑conditioning worked well, and the shower was pleasantly warm with good water pressure. Besides the beautiful view over the Tuscan hills, the pool was freshly cleaned each morning. The wines were wonderful and sightseeing was always within an hour. The owners Michuel and Lucca made the stay complete, rarely having met such friendly and kind owners. Colle Bertini made our Tuscan experience even better. We can only praise them and already look forward to returning in the future! 🫶🏻🇮🇹🍷
“Wonderful stay! Highly recommended with a little baby :)”
The property sits in a beautiful location with a pool that offers a stunning view of the surrounding hills, like a scene from a Tuscan movie. Everything around the pool is tidy and clean. We were there with our almost‑year‑old daughter and we weren’t afraid to let her swim with us; she also liked to nap on the swings nearby. Our apartment was large and clean, which was evident from the little socks our daughter left after crawling. The site is conveniently located—about an hour, almost two hours, from Florence, Pisa, Siena, and Volterra; less than an hour to San Gimignano; Pienza and Montepulciano are about 1 h 40 min; Arezzo about 2 h—so you’ll need a car. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the garden or inside the building, and the whole stay felt pastoral. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. A plus is that you can do laundry for 4 € and order fresh bread from the bakery in the morning. If you ask for a towel change you’ll get new ones. The property provides a list of worthwhile restaurants; we tried one nearby and it was divine. For a small child you can request a crib and a child’s chair, which was essential for us. I’m glad I chose this place for my first foreign trip with a small child—it worked out perfectly. The only downside is that there is a coffee pot in the house, but an espresso machine would be more convenient, and a larger jar of coffee would be nice; we went to the reception each morning for it and eventually got a whole pack, so it would be better to provide more from the start. The access road isn’t well paved and it shakes a lot, which could be improved. I kept my daughter’s head on the hill entrance while she was drowsy. I would suggest the owner install mosquito nets, especially at the entrance doors—without them the house is dark and a lot of beetles, moths, flies, and mosquitoes fly in. It’s agrotourism, so insects are hard to avoid, but nets would reduce their presence, especially those long black beetles (I’m not a fan of insects :P).
The spot is great, quiet, and the pool was awesome, but there wasn’t enough cleaning supplies in the kitchen.
The place was spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the garden and pool were well kept, and having a breakfast service meant I didn’t have to head into the village in the morning for fresh sandwiches. When all the apartments were full the garden could get a bit crowded and privacy dropped.
