The room was fairly comfortable and the bed was clean. The reception staff were inattentive, answered questions inadequately, acted as if you were a nuisance, and the noise level from the neighboring room was unbearable, with no soundproofing.

I liked the view of the Hôtel de Ville square, but it was far from the train station. When checking in, I was told the room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, and at 21:30 I couldn’t have dinner.

“Wenn Beauvais - dann nicht im Hotel VICTOR”

The only thing that pleased me was the great location right in the middle of town, slanted next to the town hall and just a few steps from the cathedral. It was a wreck! About 20 minutes waiting until someone was available to check me in. No one spoke English or German. The room and bathroom were dirty, with cracked fixtures and rust spots, and the shower was desolate. The room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator. The narrow stairwell was partly blocked by trash and delivery carts, blocking escape routes. When I came for breakfast, I had to wait 10 minutes for service, then I had to go buy a baguette, which turned out to be tough, supermarket‑style, foil‑wrapped, not even baked.

“Traditional old city center hotel”

Central location. Spotless. No lift, steep stairs. It isn’t convenient if you have a large suitcase.

The room photos on Booking don’t match reality at all. No reception in the evening (handled by the bistro), and access to the rooms is very insecure.
