A nice small eco‑resort right on the beach. The owner does everything to make you feel at home. We asked for local food and it was delicious! They set up a special campfire on the beach for us in the evenings.

The scenery is just stunning - a huge, soft-sand beach, a mangrove right by the sea, and playful ocean waves. We loved being immersed in nature while still having comfortable accommodations. The food was delicious, with authentic coastal flavors, and the staff were super friendly. The bed was comfy, and the showers were nice too.

This place is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet - the setting is lovely, and the breakfast was tasty. The staff were attentive, and the facilities were nice. That being said, the food can be a bit pricey, and you're pretty much stuck buying it from them since the town is a bit of a hike away.

Awatawaa is a hidden gem, perfect for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. The Caribbean water is amazing for swimming, and the resort is clean and secluded. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and it's clear they're passionate about sustainability. Just be aware that you can't drive directly to the lodge - you'll need to get a ride from the nearby town of La Punta de los Remedios.
