The place is quiet, a bit outside the center of Matera. The garden is very pleasant. The room is clean. The hosts are welcoming and give lots of tips for visits and restaurants (including recommendations for regional dishes and wines). The breakfast is “industrial.”

We stayed for two nights in October at this family‑run spot just before the entrance to Matera, so we were away from the bustle but still close to the city and the Sassi; the place felt quiet yet convenient. Danilo, the host, was very attentive to our needs, and the breakfast was good. He and his wife made us feel at home and gave us useful local tips on sights, restaurants, and where to go. Thanks for the hospitality – everything was fine.
