The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good, but the rooms could use a bit of updating.

I normally eat a variety of fruit for breakfast, but they only had apples. I’d like more options like bananas, oranges, grapes, and pears.

The room was great, and everything else was fine except the pool was closed.

Nothing notable! The property moved us across the parking lot to the Marriott Towneplace Suites. The original hotel had major humidity and water issues at check‑in; the sheets hadn’t been changed, my wife received new linens from housekeeping and we re‑made the bed, while multiple giant heaters/fans ran at full blast on every floor—our floor had three of them, causing airborne pollution that left me unable to breathe fully, chest tightness, and a massive headache by morning; my wife felt the same symptoms. This was unlike any experience at a Hampton Inn. I called Hilton Hotels, who directed me to the front desk, and since the call came from Hilton, the front desk manager offered no solution but to move us across the parking lot to the Towneplace Suites by Marriott. Having already paid in full, the front desk manager told Marriott’s manager to bill them for our stay. The Marriott was wonderful: beds made, AC worked perfectly, no moisture problems, no giant heater fans, and the next two nights of our Pittsburgh stay were perfect.
