Linda was exceptionally friendly and helpful, thinking of everything from toiletries to fans for the heat; she went above and beyond. The moment we arrived she had a map showing the best attractions to visit. Everyone deserves a stay like this. I wish we had stayed longer; it felt like home and Linda felt like family. Nothing negative.

“A taste of traditional Japan”
Linda was super helpful and did everything possible to make my stay wonderful; the location was perfect. I’m not really a fan of Japanese‑style accommodations but felt I should give it another go, so it’s not a critique of Linda’s place—just my own preference.
“Fantastic stay, will definitely stay again”
Everything about the place, host, and location was great. We stayed there for 4 nights. Linda, the host, was thoughtful, friendly, and attentive. She prepared a lovely gift at check‑in and photos taken by her husband of local scenery in all seasons. Linda also gave us recommendations on places to go. The room was lovely and spacious. Linda and her family live next door, so they were very accommodating with check‑in and made us feel at home. They provide toiletries and washing detergent if you want to do laundry. Note for those not used to sleeping on the floor: the mattresses are flattened in the middle, so you can feel the floor/mat. 😄 The personal note: my husband and I normally sleep with blackout blinds at home and are not used to light in the room; the balcony door and window are Japanese sliding doors made of wood and paper, so you get quite a bit of light in the morning. In summer, daylight breaks through early.
