Moustache Srinagar, a boutique hotel in Srinagar, offers airy rooms with private baths, balconies overlooking the Himalayas, and work desks. The on‑site restaurant serves Indian cuisine, vegetarian dishes, and high tea in a family‑friendly setting. Amenities include a landscaped garden, picnic spots, bicycle parking, 24‑hour front desk, concierge, and paid shuttle. Located 21 km from Srinagar Airport, it sits near Saidrahman and Danpura, providing easy access to local attractions.

The family cooks meals to your taste, though some items feel a bit overpriced for their simplicity. You experience a simple Kashmiri home and meet warm family members. The spot is not far from Dal Lake, but winding narrow lanes make the trip a hassle, and walking is a constant uphill. The room feels stuffy, windows open onto neighboring walls, and power is unreliable; the inverter doesn’t run the fan one night and the bedside plugs don’t work. Charging double for bottled water is unreasonable, especially when the same bottle costs MRP at a higher‑end restaurant. A water purifier is available for refills. Overall, the road approach, room facilities, and vibe feel overpriced.

The location is very interior, far from the main area. The staff were rude and almost aggressive toward female travelers.

The rooms stay clean, but everything feels too overpriced.

The stay was excellent: the hostel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Staff were extremely friendly, always ready with travel tips and local recommendations. The location made exploring Srinagar easy, common areas were great for meeting other travelers, and the overall vibe felt safe and relaxing. I’d recommend this hostel to solo travelers and backpackers in Kashmir and look forward to returning. The only downside was the booking procedure.
