It was clean, centrally located, had a good hot shower and nice shampoo, and there was a small free parking spot in front; however, the price was high, especially by European standards, even though it is only a two‑star hotel.

The spot is perfect for hikers – the train stops right outside, making trips to Jungfraujoch or Schinige Platte a breeze. I didn’t book breakfast, so the noisy crowd of Asian travelers didn’t bother me. The only real hassle was the front desk; the manager was curt when the main entrance was locked and we had to slip through the restaurant, making check‑in feel unpleasant.

Staying here was convenient – the Wilderswil station is right outside and there are two grocery stores just steps away, plus the bed was surprisingly comfy. Unfortunately one of the pillowcases had a stain and the shower kept jumping from scalding hot to icy cold despite decent pressure. Overall, location wins but the room needed a bit more attention.

The view from the hotel was stunning and the staff went out of their way to be friendly. The only downside was a few lights that seemed burnt out and could use replacement, but otherwise everything was fine. Thanks again for the stay.

The hotel sits close to the Grindelwald train line and, after a room switch, I finally got the balcony my reservation promised, offering a nice view. Still, the price was far too high for a place I’d rate around one star, and even the two glasses left in the room were dirty. Not worth the cost.
