“Vollkatastrophe, Desaster, Fiasko, Supergau”
We arrived yesterday evening from Trier on our e‑bikes at the “hotel.” The parking looked more like a lost place than an operating hotel, full of abandoned cars, old containers, etc. We were greeted by a single staff member who spoke neither German nor English, who “welcomed” us after we put our bikes in the “basement,” which was more of a “basement hole.” The lobby was very specific. We asked about breakfast times, but the staff couldn’t answer because he didn’t understand German or English, so he called his boss in Holland on his phone, who said there were no fixed times—well, half as wild. We had room 18, and I guess there were only 2–3 other guests there. In the room we were met with stale, cold air; when we asked if the heating worked, a 10 € fan heater was offered for us to use if we felt cold. The floor felt like walking on a slick, slimy, long‑un‑cleaned surface—just disgusting. In the lobby I wanted to complain, but no one was there. The shower curtain had fungal stains and stuck to the skin, but the hot water worked well, which was a relief. If I could give 0 stars, that would be my choice—sorry, the hut should be torn down, not meant to be hostile.
